How we make money

Some links on TierAudit are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy a plan, we may earn a commission from the vendor. It costs you nothing extra. You pay the vendor's normal price.

What commissions don't change

  • We record prices, limits, fees and plan details from vendor pages the same way, whether or not a vendor pays commissions.
  • No vendor can pay to be listed, ranked higher or described differently.
  • A tool that fits your need worse is never placed above one that fits it better because of a commission.
  • We list, price and compare tools without an affiliate programme the same way as tools with one.

Where commissions can show

  • When two options fit equally well, a partner may be shown first. On alternatives lists, it works like this: among tools that do the same job and have a published price, we list tools whose vendors run an affiliate programme first. Tools that do a different job are never moved ahead because of a commission.
  • In the compare tool and on "best" pages, a partner is shown first only when two options meet the same requirements in the same way, and their fully published costs are within 5% of each other. The card tells you when this has happened.
  • Category pages list tools by starting price, cheapest first. Commissions play no part.
  • The home page and menus put first the categories where we have more partners.
  • Tools whose vendors run an affiliate programme get a "Try" button; other tools get a plain text link to the vendor's site.
  • Pages about general AI assistants and code editors link to the website, email and ecommerce categories, because that's where many small businesses buy next.

How links work

Links to vendor sites pass through a short redirect on our domain (addresses starting with /go/), so we can count how many readers follow each link. We mark these links as sponsored for search engines. Links to the vendor pricing pages we cite as sources are plain links.
